The beginning of 2015 started with the wonderful birth of my daughter (1/11/15), she’s a little blessing and I’m very grateful everyday for her being happy and healthy.

One of the side effects of having a child is it takes a lot of time and attention, which if you’re trying to make or start a successful business/product is really not helpful.

So I stopped podcasting for half the year (December 2014 to August 2015!). I was very concerned about how the automotive community would embrace the show after such a long hiatus. It was difficult to get guest and get the show up and running again. It was effectively starting over again. It was a bumpy start, business’s didn’t want to talk to a show with almost zero downloads for the year. I couldn’t get calls or emails returned. The first real guest this year was from Oppositelock I was joined by Big Bossy Boss. That helped out a lot, I got to test out a ton of equipment in my own studio, make sure everything worked. Not only that but we got downloads, we hit #1 in the automotive section on podomatic with that episode! Only 2 episodes later I had Bob Lutz on! I had made a break though and the flood gates for good guest was open! What makes that so amazing is that it’s really this community that helped us get these guest, it’s your suggestions, advice, and feed back. Really thats the remarkable thing is how quickly the listeners came back to the show, we had a format change, which can always scare people off (a lot of just Ike on guest episodes.). We’ve only gone up in listeners each and every episode. The feedback on issues like audio quality, guest questions, technical problems from this wonderful site is just stunning. I know that I’ve said it before and I will say it again. Thank you guys & gals!

Really if not for y’all I would have stopped doing this podcasting thing. I honestly contemplated doing so around June. “Even if I do get back to it” I thought “will anyone care anymore? We’ve been gone so long we can’t ever make that ground back”.

I’m so happy I was wrong; it was a great year! We have made the ground back we lost and then some. Thank you thank you thank you. I owe this community a lot for giving me the base to do this. I used to joke that we were the official unofficial podcast of Oppositelock; but that’s how I really try and run this show, That’s why I’m so happy and proud to end the year with Justin Hughes on. It was a fantastic time I found Justin though Oppositelock; and he’s part of right foot down, another great site you should visit if you haven’t.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

I wanted to end the year with a member of this community and I will star the year doing that too! I will be interviewing a bunch of people from Oppositelock early next year. I would be nothing without you guys and gals, so I want you all to know there is alway an open spot for anyone here on the show. The great thing about this site is that we have the inmates running the asylum, I want to let you all have the intercom too!

So thank again. I really honestly mean it. I’m so grateful for each and everyone of you who reads and listens to my stuff.

I’m always up for another go. I figure we’d just have to decide on a topic and go with it.
